I've spent at least a week on this, at anything from 3-4 hours plus a night -- which means a minimum of twenty-one hours' work, I think... but in all honesty I have no idea how long it's taken precisely (I'm not even sure I want to know!). He's a painted lady, my first ever finished pixel art (and my last! I will not be sucked into thi... *sigh* Okay, fine, I admit it, I'm already planning the next one), and I have to admit I'm pleased with the result. Reference pics came from Butterfly-Conservation.org and the Royal Alberta Museum, among others. Comments and concrit are more than welcome, of course! Daily DeviationGiven 2006-01-27Painted Lady by =SoulshadowDiamond is a stunningly detailed piece of work that really gives the impression of being 'painted' rather than pixelled. Let's all hope =SoulshadowDiamond provides us with more pixel masterpieces like this one! (Suggested by `madnessism and Featured by `blackice) |

For thee. Whose safety first provide for? Thine!
